Bio:
I received my Master’s of Education in Special Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While at the University of Missouri, I was introduced to the idea of using Positive Behavior Supports as a means to improve academic and behavioral outcomes for all students. After completing my Master’s degree, I worked as a Special Education teacher in an elementary school for eight years. While teaching, I helped implement School-wide Positive Behavior Support as a member of my school’s Positive Behavior Support team.
Education:
B.A.: Elementary Education, William Jewell College
M.Ed.: Special Education, University of Missouri-Columbia
Interests:
Currently, I am studying under the RTI Leadership Preparation Program Fellowship. My advisor is Dr. Wayne Sailor. While at KU, I am studying the application of Response to Intervention for both academics and behavior. I am specifically interested in the impact of School-wide Positive Behaviors Supports on school outcomes.
